JCB 250T Earns Three Major Industry Awards
The JCB 250T Compact Track Loader has received the 2026 Editor’s Choice Award from Green Industry Pros, earning recognition as one of the hottest products in the landscape industry.
The award recognizes products that are helping drive innovation and performance for landscape professionals, adding another major accomplishment to the 250T’s growing list of industry recognition.
The 250T also received two additional awards in 2026:
2026 OPE+ Twenty for New Products Award, recognizing leading new products serving the landscape and irrigation industries.
Rental’s 2026 Editor’s Choice Award, recognizing outstanding machines and products serving the equipment rental industry.

JCB Hydromax Sets a 406.320 MPH World Record
JCB’s accomplishments in 2026 aren't limited to construction equipment.
The British engineering manufacturer has also officially set a new world land speed record of 406.320 mph with the hydrogen-powered JCB Hydromax.
During its record-setting attempt across the Bonneville Salt Flats, Hydromax recorded a speed of 400.623 mph during its first run and an incredible 412.135 mph during its second.
The two runs produced an official average speed of 406.320 mph, making Hydromax the fastest hydrogen internal combustion vehicle ever recorded.
Breaking JCB's Own Record 20 Years Later
The achievement also continues a piece of JCB history.
In August 2006, the JCB Dieselmax set a world diesel land speed record of 350.092 mph on the same Bonneville Salt Flats.
Twenty years later, JCB has surpassed its own benchmark by more than 56 mph — this time using a hydrogen internal combustion engine that produces no CO₂ at the tailpipe.
Hydromax also exceeded the previous 303 mph hydrogen fuel cell speed mark, making it the fastest hydrogen-powered vehicle of any kind in history.
